Hi, I’m Kei from Chuetsu Life!

Now in its 8th year, “LLP Nagaoka” (Lean LaunchPad Program) is an entrepreneurship training program based in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, which has fostered numerous entrepreneurs and innovators.

For this special feature, we had the privilege of interviewing Takashi Tsutsumi, a pioneer who introduced the Lean LaunchPad methodology to Japan and has guided many students as an instructor right here in Nagaoka.

Kei, the author of Chuetsu Life, also completed the LLP Nagaoka 2026 program and took a commemorative photo with Tsutsumi on the final day.

While public institutions and specialized business journals have covered his work, this marks the very first exclusive interview conducted by an independent regional media outlet like Chuetsu Life!

Across a 3-part interview series, we have condensed Tsutsumi’s insights into the history of LLP, its journey in Nagaoka, entrepreneurial mindsets in the generative AI era, and his vision for expanding the program nationwide.

Whether you are looking to launch a new venture in your region or seeking an authentic path in life, feel free to dive into the topics that inspire you most!
